Philosophy of Assessing and Grading Student Learning

 My philosophy of how I plan to assess student learning is not just by tests. In my opinion a time constrained test cannot assess the amount of material that was learned by the student. When taking tests, some students may also get nervous and forget everything that they were taught and to be put on a time constraint is even more nerve racking. I believe that quizzes at the end of each chapter/section are acceptable. This way students are liable for a smaller amount of material that is fresh in their minds, perhaps this will result in not needing a time constraint.
